Monday Mailbag – Taking Monday to a Whole New Level!

Back in business y’all! Reaching into the old mailbag once again to bring you some designs from our talented fans!

But first, if you remember, Angry Birds turned 5 years old (!) last December. To mark the occasion of our 5th BirdDay, we asked our awesome fans to create their own levels and send them our way. Some of the best designs were made into real levels and released in the 5th BirdDay episode! (Download Angry Birds here to play the episode.)

Just because the contest to get your level in the game is over, doesn’t mean you have to stop sending your level ideas! No! As a matter of fact, we get plenty of masterful level designs every day.

Take this one for example from Luke in Chattanooga, Tennessee:

That’s some precision drawing there Luke! Now how should we go about beating this level? Personally, I’d go for the TNT hanging back there. I can see a nice chain reaction happening. KA-BOOM! Or maybe I’d take out one of the balloons holding that laser up, and do some collateral damage that way. What do you guys think?

Another example from Garrison in Coralville, Iowa:

Holy moly! Those pigs are heavily armed. Nothing a well placed shot to that robots legs can’t take care of though eh?

Last, we got this tribute to game developer Rare from the, mysteriously named, A from Oakville, Ontario:

Hmm… we love the Donkey Kong Country games, Battletoads, and the rest of the Rare catalog as much as anyone, but are you sure you sent this to the right address? Was it the big R in the logo that was confusing? Just kidding – nice work there!
